Eternal Mindset!

I loved Craig Bowler's sermon on Sunday!  I find my mind too often fixating on wanting more or coveting what others have.  What hit me most was that we should be praising God more than complaining to him.  I know that in my own life I consistently think "if we only had this, we would be set" or "if I could only get this job, I would be fulfilled". But it struck me during the sermon that all of these things are temporary. The house, the cars, the clothes, the furniture, the jobs...temporary! What matters is what is eternal!  Our little baby growing in my belly: ETERNAL.  The legacy I leave with my students: ETERNAL. My relationship with my family and friends: ETERNAL. My accountability and small group relationships: ETERNAL. When I share Christ with others: ETERNAL.  When I share words of kindness or encouragement: ETERNAL. So instead of fixating on what I don't have or what would make my life "better" temporarily.  I want to focus on those things that are ETERNAL! What a great lesson!
