Revelations Part IV

Now we are getting to the good stuff!

In Revelations 4, the entire scene is Theocentric (God-centered).  Every creature and element is described in relationship to the throne.  At the throne, we see a rainbow (Genesis 9), four living creatures which serve as God's movable throne (Ezekiel 1:5), 24 elders (could be the 12 disciples plus the 12 tribes of Isreal), and a sea of glass (what God throws our sins into).  There is no description of God -- only that which surrounds him.

In Revelations 5, we see the scroll that no one can open. The scroll represents the destiny of the new heaven and earth (where Chris will reign as King!).  In verses 5-10, the lamb appears as slain...this represents our victory over sin and the passover lamb!

All in all, heave is beyond our vision! There is a reality of a throne, numerous angels, creratures we have never seen, vivid colors, rainbows, and glass seas! Praise God!
