Our Anniversary!

Chris and I celebrated 4 years together! We were so thankful for friends that kept Bella so that we could have a day to ourselves! It was amazing.

We celebrated on Thursday (our actual anniversary) with a homemade dinner -- it was delicious!  Then we celebrated all day Saturday with a double feature (Harry Potter and Transformers) and a dinner in downtown ATL!  It was a wonderful celebration!

Jeneane is AWESOME!

My friend, Jeneane, is a woman of many talents, a jack of all trades, a Renaissance woman...I could go on and on.  She excels in baking, sewing, crocheting, and the list goes on.  If you are interested in her you can find her on facebook at Mad Hatters Events or email her at madhattersevents@gmail.com

Below are just a few things she has made for Bella in her 3 short months.

NWEDS Graduation and Reunion

All of the NWEDS alumni, 2011 graduating class, and newbies got together at Noonday Park in Kennesaw to celebrate!  Chris and I learned so much during our time in NWEDS!  We are so thankful for a newlywed bible study where we built life-long friendships!  Thanks Barbara and Greg for facilitating this awesome study!

Birthday!

I grew up celebrating my birthday like a superstar! I usually celebrated with my dad, then with my mom, a party for church friends, a party for school friends, possibly a dinner with grandparents. Some people celebrate for a day or weekend. In college, I was known to celebrate birth week and even birth month! Yep, my college friends literally wish me a happy birth month!  Chris and his best friend C.J. had a song about it!

Well, now that I'm a mommy...that has all changed. I barely remembered my birthday this year.  Normally, I start counting down 30 days in advance. This year, all I wanted was a date night with Chris. No cake, no parties (which is shocking...in college, I threw myself birthday parties or dinners).  Oh how times have changed!

Jeneane and Curtis babysat so I could have a date night with Chris.  We had a wonderful parents' night out!  We only called home once to check on Bella Rose!

I enjoyed spending a night out with Chris...but next year...PARTY! Can't believe I will be 30!

Appreciated!

My love language is words of affirmation..which just so happens to be my husband's least favorite thing to do! But a couple of Friday's ago...he came home with a bouquet of flowers and a HUGE thank you for being a great mom!  It blessed my heart and made my weekend! I love you, Chris!

Beautiful!

So thankful! :)

A Valentine's Surprise!

Since Bella Rose is due at any moment, we limited our Valentine's plans.  We had originally said we wouldn't do anything out of the ordinary. But Chris was sure to make the night extra special!

Chris picked up dinner (Chinese food from Forbidden City) for us so that I didn't have to cook. Which if any of you know Chris well enough, you know that this in itself was a BIG deal! He doesn't like to spend money on eating out! :)

I came home from work and took a long nap! Then we eat dinner by candlelight.  We had sparkling grape juice (my favorite) for our Valentine's toast!  During the blessing, Chris thanked God for me and the baby which really tugged on my heart strings (probably the hormones)! After dinner, Chris watched The Bachelor with me!  Finally, Chris gave me a back massage by candlelight!  What a wonderful Valentine's Day with my sweetheart!

We chose not to do gifts this year due to the baby coming soon...but the surprise of Chris making the evening out of the ordinary was gift enough!
